NGO Assistance Dogs Invites Students to Tackle a DEI Awareness Challenge at DEI4SME Hackathon II
We are pleased to welcome NGO Assistance Dogs (NVO Šunys asistentai) to the DEI4SME Hackathon II with a challenge focused on raising awareness of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) issues in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
Based in Lithuania, NGO Assistance Dogs is dedicated to supporting people with disabilities and promoting inclusion through the use of specially trained assistance dogs. Their mission goes beyond national boundaries, addressing disability inclusion on a global scale through education, advocacy, and international collaborations. As assistance dogs are still relatively new in Lithuania, the organization works to educate businesses and the public while supporting scientific research in this field.
Hackathon participants will collaborate with NGO Assistance Dogs to create strategies and solutions that enhance DEI awareness, particularly around disability inclusion in the workplace. By helping SMEs better understand the value of inclusive environments, participants will contribute to building more equitable organizations.
NGO Assistance Dogs' global perspective and expertise make them an essential partner in this hackathon, encouraging innovative solutions that bridge the gap between DEI principles and workplace implementation.
