Finvacon’s strong commitment to the hackathon and collaboration with the DEI4SME project will allow Hackathon I participants to learn from the Finvacon’s business model that is inclusive by nature, and interact with the company’s management and mentors.
The challenge will be presented in the opening event on February 4th. You are welcome to register for the DEI4SME Hackathon I (Finland & online) from now and until January 15: https://dei4sme.eu/dei4sme-hackathon-finland/
About Finvacon
Originally known as Vaasa, Finland's Workshop for People with Disabilities, Finvacon has evolved significantly over the years. As the business expanded into a manufacturing industry, the need to shed the “workshop image” became apparent. In 1992, the name was changed to FINVAC, incorporating the word ‘inva’ to reflect its roots. By 2005, Finvac became a limited company, officially named Finvacon Ltd. Today, Finvacon’s main business is focused on producing insulation and metal components for transformers and electric motors.
Finvacon is specialising in Scandinavian premium quality components for transformers and electric motors for the European Energy Industry. Finvacon’s commitment to equality, innovation, and sustainability has made it one of the most unique transformer and electric motor component manufacturers in the world.
Finvacon is an inspirational leader who employs high number of people with disability, employees with foreign backgrounds, and refugees who may not speak the local language or even English, and therefore is an outstanding company to learn from in regard to the DEI in business strategy and management.
